TEACHER’S DAY
5th September happens to be birth anniversary of our former president and visionary educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. It was his demand to celebrate his birthday as teacher’s day which portrayed his image as an ardent devotee of SARASWATI MATA. Thus noble thoughts of Dr. Radhakrishnanis the motivating force behind celebration of ‘Teacher’s Day‘ on 5th September.
Teaching learning process can never be fruitful without complete dedication of teachers towards their duties and active involvement of students in their studies and this process also needs bonding between teacher and student which can be strengthened when efforts of teachers are acknowledged by their own students.
WamanraoMuranjan Junior College Of Science &Commerce celebrated ‘Teacher’s Day’ on 6th September 2021 in virtual mode. This event was testimony to the camaraderie between we , the teachers of WMJC team & our beloved students.
Event began with the introductory speech by faculty member, Mrs. Pallavi Pradhan, she spoke about story behind Teacher’s Day celebration. Anchoring of event was handled by one of our commerce student: Miss Tanvi Borse. Superb song rendition for Ganesh Vandana marked the auspicious beginning of programe. Speeches were delivered by participants to share memories of their teachers who were instrumental in their success. Participants also conveyed their respect and gratitude towards their teachers through poem recitation, greeting card making & power point presentations and video making. On the concluding note, video made by our I.T faculty: Mrs Rohini Waradkar, which showcased entire
WMJC unit was presented.
This event highlighted the fact that students still adore and cherish the memories of teachers in flesh and bone rather than just getting fascinated with digitized teaching.
